Our story

Built out of update fatigue

Verstage started with a familiar frustration. I was tired of juggling emails from clients and team members asking for updates, or where we were at with a project. And I was just as annoyed on the other side — constantly chasing teammates for status, only to get ghosted.

So I built Verstage: a collaborative space where teams and clients can stay apprised of project status, start to finish. It’s a simple idea — the same at-a-glance progress you get from a pizza tracker, but pointed at real work. From research-request approvals to data prep and warehousing, to purchase requests and reviews — whatever the work is, everyone who cares about it can see exactly where it stands, in real time, without another email thread.

I didn’t want a full-fledged workflow controller or a project-management suite. I didn’t need dependencies, Gantt charts, or a pile of controls to configure before anything worked. I just needed something simple that worked quickly, right out of the box, without a bunch of crazy frills — a what-you-see-is-what-you-get tool. So that’s exactly what Verstage is: lightweight by design, and ready in minutes.

If you find yourself worn down by the constant back-and-forth, or by the lack of visible progress from your own team, Verstage was built for you. Set up a tracker, share a link, and let the work speak for itself.

We’re always looking for what to build next. If there’s a feature that would make Verstage work better for you, don’t be shy — send it our way at contact@verstage.app. The roadmap is shaped by the people using it.
